Eleftheria Pancyprian Soccer Club offers competitive developmental youth soccer programs in New York City.
History
Established in 1981, Eleftheria Pancyprian Soccer Club provides the children of our New York City Greek, Cypriot and urban diaspora community the opportunity to play a beautiful sport within a holistic development environment that teaches discipline, teamwork and sportsmanship on and off the field while promoting academic excellence. We are a diverse and inclusive soccer club where all people are welcome.
EPSC strives:
To consistently create a fun filled, positive experience for every girl and boy in the program.
To promote sportsmanship, respect, and sensitivity to the other players, coaches, parents, and referees.
To enhance player self esteem, confidence, emotional development and overall character.
To always put the best interest of the player above all others.
To provide equal access to the highest quality and most appropriate of programs of development for both girls and boys.
To assure that all adults associated with the program are exemplary role models of sportsmanship, leadership and support.
To provide an environment for coaches to develop skills and techniques needed to teach the game of soccer.
To maintain a balanced perspective on the outcome of games and sportsmanship.
Philosophy
Winning alone does not measure the success of a youth soccer program. Individual player development is the key to a successful program. Eleftheria is committed to the development of the individual. Our goal is to help all our players reach their full potential, including an expected high standard of player attitude and behavior both on and off the field. If Eleftheria is unsuccessful in this, winning will not be an adequate substitute.
The overall objective of the club is to provide a developmental system that is progressive in nature – beginning at U5 and culminating with our senior mens team. The long term growth and enjoyment of each individual player is our primary goal. Our system of player development is designed to ensure that by the time players reach the U18 level, they will have developed sound skills, tactical awareness and a thorough understanding of the game that will help them excel at the senior level.
