Astoria Park Summer Soccer Heats Up

The first week of our free Astoria Park Summer Soccer program was quite a success with over 100 participating players from 8 years old and up in small sided games with players from various New York City area clubs. Each session started off with a team warm up, possession in rondos and then 4v4, 7v7 and 9v9 games.

“We want to support the New York City youth soccer community all year round,” says Paul Kontonis, Coach and Director of Club Development at Eleftheria Pancyprian Soccer Club. “Our free summer soccer program aims to give players the chance to play soccer in a fun and relaxed environment where they can really learn to love the game.”

The EPSC summer program continues every Tuesday and Thursday from 6-8pm at Astoria Park with the remaining dates July 26, 28 and August 2, 4, 9, 11, 16, 18. Registration is free and open to all players.

To help support this free program, Eleftheria Pancyprian has released a limited edition Astoria Park Summer Soccer t-shirt now available for purchase.
