EPSC Players Set to Train and Play Like Champions in Madrid
Eleftheria Pancyprian Soccer Club (EPSC) is taking its commitment to player development to the next level with an exciting soccer trip to Madrid in February. From February 14 to 22, a select group of players from the 2008-2010 teams will immerse themselves in the world of international soccer, training at two of the most renowned football facilities in the world and competing in three friendly matches, including a game against La Liga opposition.
The trip kicks off on Valentine's Day, February 14, a perfect day to celebrate their love for the game as the team arrives in Madrid. A highlight of the trip comes right away when they will attend a La Liga match on February 15, when Atletico Madrid takes on RC Celta de Vigo at the Riyadh Air Metropolitano Stadium.
Upon arrival the team will move into La Ciudad del Fútbol de la Real Federación Española de Fútbol, the official training center of the Spanish national team and the headquarters of the Spanish Football Federation. Opened in 2003, this world-class facility in Las Rozas de Madrid has hosted the biggest players and teams in the world and is the ideal place for the players to immerse themselves.
The team will be training at Ciudad Real Madrid, the training complex of the legendary Real Madrid. Located in Valdebebas, just outside Madrid, this facility serves as the hub for Real Madrid's youth and professional teams. Players will have the opportunity to experience the level of professionalism and excellence that has made Real Madrid one of the most successful football clubs in the world under the guidance of Real Madrid coaching staff. In addition, the team will also benefit from a training session hosted by coaches from EF Huesca, the most prominent international residential academy in Spain, which has recently produced world class players like Mario Mitaj (Locomotiv Moscow) and Selou Diallo (Atletico Madrid). These professionals will offer individualized guidance and feedback, ensuring each player receives personalized attention to help elevate their game.
In addition to their trainings, the players will compete in three friendly matches, testing their skills against teams from Madrid and experiencing the intensity of international competition in soccer-specific venues. One of these games will be against La Liga opposition, the team will be announced shortly, providing invaluable exposure to the high standards of top-tier Spanish football.
"Providing our youth players with such a unique learning experience is key to their development as soccer players,” said Paul Kontonis, Director of Club Development of EPSC. “We understand the importance of balancing quality training with affordability, which is why we're proud to offer this singular experience to our players, no one else can offer their players this level of access and opportunity."
The trip is made possible through a now multi-year partnership between Eleftheria Pancyprian Soccer Club and Internacional Players & Coaches (IPC). Led by Josete Abarca, CEO of IPC based in Huesca, Spain. This collaboration ensures the players have access to top-notch training and unforgettable experiences at an affordable cost.
"This is a lifetime experience for the players that they will never forget. It will only increase their love of the game and fuel their passion to reach even greater heights. We’re thrilled to be part of this journey with EPSC,” said Abarca.
The players will be accompanied by EPSC Executive Director Billy Antoniou and Kontonis who will lead the group and conduct the daily planning and educational team sessions with the EPSC players. This experience will undoubtedly leave a lasting impact, strengthening their skills, love for the game, and connections to the global football community.
