EPSC U19 Go Undefeated in First City Showcase Tournament

This City Showcase Tournament, hosted by South Bronx United, brought boys and girls teams to Randall's Island in New York City on the Friday and Saturday of Easter Weekend. The EPSC U19 boys enjoyed the two-day showcase with a win over Fox Soccer Academy Premier and entertaining draws against Revolution United FC and Formativas Barcelona SC.

“Participating in our first City Showcase with our U19s was a great opportunity for team to really come together,” said Steven Batalas, EPSC Youth Coordinator. “We are very proud of how our team played, they were great!”

The EPSC U19 team is coached by Petros and Demetri Neophytou, and Steven Batalas.

Founded by South Bronx United in 2010, the City Showcase Tournament aims to expand college soccer opportunities for youth athletes from New York City metropolitan area and beyond. The showcase was attended by college coaches from Allegany College of Maryland, Bronx Community College, Brooklyn College, CUNY College of Staten Island, CUNY York College, Fairfield University, Fordham University, Franklin Pierce University, Hilbert College, Hudson Valley Community College, John Jay College of Criminal Justice, Keuka College, Manhattanville College, Nyack College, Pratt Institute, Sarah Lawrence College, SUNY Buffalo State, SUNY Cobleskill, SUNY Mohawk Valley Community College and SUNY Morrisville
