Get to know Alex Arvanitis, coach of the Eleftheria Pancyprian Soccer Club U7 and U8 Boys teams.

How do the players describe your coaching style?

My players would describe me as a passionate coach, who loves the game. A coach who wants to give back his knowledge and loving the game and competing on the pitch whether you win or lose. But because I yell a bit they might think I am mean. My style is learning to play simple proper soccer and my saying is “stop look pass and move”.

What is the first team you ever coached?

The first team I coached was an Eleftheria U8 team about 12 years ago.

What are you looking forward to for the 2021/2022 season

I am looking to forward to seeing progress in my players and developing them to get better at understanding the game from the start of season up until the end. Also looking forward to having my players understand how to play to win, and even if they lose they actually compete and give it all on the pitch.
