Get to know Arthur Ribeiro, coach of the Eleftheria Pancyprian Soccer Club U14 Boys.

What do your players describe you as a coach?

I believe that when the players know the “why “ they are doing something, they learn better. I try to understand athletes as a full individual not only as a soccer player. I’m not afraid of being happy at the field or showing my mistakes, athletes learn better when they are in a healthy environment.

What is the first team you ever coached?

The first team I coached was at a women’s soccer club in Brazil, 11 years ago. I was a 20 years old coaching women from 15 to 30+, athletes with different goals and different needs that definitely helped me to grow as a human being and as a coach. I learned a lot through them, and I still keep good connections with my athletes.

What are you looking forward to for the 2021/2022 season

This is my first season with this group, I am looking forward to connecting with each player and helping them to develop their full potential.
