Highlights from the 2022 EPSC Picnic and Trophy Day

The Annual Eleftheria Pancyprian Soccer Club Picnic and Trophy Days was help on Saturday, June 18th at the Con Edison soccer field in Astoria, Queens. Thank you to everyone that attended, supported, contributed, help set up, help clean up, etc.

Here are some of the highlights of the day:

  • Over 500 people attended the picnic throughout the day from 10:30am to 2pm.

  • The Veo camera system was unveiled to our EPSC family and recorded some of the soccer games that were played.

  • The coaches won the Parents vs Coaches game with minimal injuries to the parents.

  • The 2022 Eleftheria Pancyprian Hall of Fame inductees, Luka Lucovic and Michael Megaloudis Sr, were honored for their contribution to Eleftheria Pancyprian Soccer Club by Nicos Tziazas, President of Eleftheria Pancyprian Soccer Club , and Philip Christopher, President of the Pancyprian Association of America.

  • Over 3.300 votes were cast in the best picture contest - 1st place U10G, 2nd place U13, 3rd place U14.

  • Lots of trophies and individual awards like MVP, Top Scorer, Most Improved and more were presented to the players.

  • Three tents were blown over by the wind.

  • The raffle grand prize was a really big TV.

  • We announced the start date for the ASTORIA PARK SUMMER NIGHTS free soccer program starting on Tuesday, July 19th.

  • We said good bye to some and hello to the new members of our EPSC family.
