New York Pancyprian Freedoms Continue Dominance with 5-0 Victory over KidSuper Samba AC

The New York Pancyprian Freedoms secured another emphatic victory in the Metropolitan Conference of the Eastern Premier Soccer League (EPSL), beating KidSuper Samba AC 5-0 on Sunday, September 29, 2024, at Randall's Island. This marks the team's third consecutive win in what is shaping up to be a promising season for the club.

The Pancyprians have dedicated their 2024/2025 season to the people of Cyprus, highlighting the dark 50th anniversary of the Turkish invasion of the island. The Freedoms are using their platform to bring attention to the continued struggle for freedom and justice in Cyprus, with the club's performance on the field serving as a symbol of resilience and strength.

The match was a showcase of offensive prowess, with the Pancyprians quickly setting the tone. Joseph Holland returned to the starting XI and dominated the early proceedings, opening the scoring at the 20th minute and continuing his impressive form by adding two more goals in the 55th and 60th minutes, completing a sensational hat trick.

Jens Hoff followed up with a goal in the 65th minute, extending the lead to 4-0, and Augustus McGiff sealed the comprehensive victory with a goal in the 80th minute.

This victory follows the Pancyprians' 4-1 win over Central Park Rangers earlier this month, showing a consistency in their attacking form and defensive solidity as they continue to build momentum in the EPSL.

The New York Pancyprian Freedoms will now prepare for their next matchup against Manhattan Celtic on Sunday, October 6th at Tibbets Brook Park.

In the Cosmopolitan Soccer League, the New York Panyprian Freedoms II best Riverside Squires 3-2 with goals from Yanni Caramintzos, Christoforos Moulinos and Andreas Antoniades. The NYPF II next play Central Park Rangers on Sunday October 6th at Randalls Island.

As the season progresses, the New York Pancyprian Freesoms will not only aim for more victories on the field but also continue their mission to raise awareness of the ongoing plight in Cyprus. Their dedication to this cause is woven into the fabric of this season, and their performances have embodied the same fighting spirit.
