New York Pancyprian Freedoms Dominate in 4-0 Victory Over NY Greek Americans in Greek Clash
In a thrilling encounter on Wednesday, April 10th, at Queens College, the New York Pancyprian Freedoms secured a resounding 4-0 victory against the NY Greek Americans in the Metropolitan Conference of the Eastern Premier Soccer League. This much-anticipated Greek Derby saw the second-place Freedoms assert their dominance over the third-place Greek Americans.
The match's tempo was set by James Tristino, who opened the scoring with a precise finish, putting the Freedoms ahead. The excitement escalated when Sebastian Ruiz capitalized on a long throw from goalkeeper Josh Levine, exploding down field to score a sensational breakaway goal. This early lead set the tone for the Freedoms, who displayed superior teamwork and strategy.
Before the first half concluded, Junior Rosero widened the gap with a third goal, showcasing the power of the Pancyprians' front three attackers. Rosero, not satisfied with just one, netted another early in the second half, completing his brace and sealing a comfortable 4-0 victory for the Freedoms.
