Springtime Egg Hunt was a Joyous Celebration with Eleftheria Pancyprian Soccer Club
On a bright and cheerful Saturday, the Eleftheria Pancyprian Soccer Club (EPSC) hosted a Springtime Egg Hunt, a festive event that brought together the club's players and their families in a vibrant celebration of community and tradition. The event, held on May 4th, served as the perfect lead-up to Orthodox Easter, celebrated by many EPSC families the following day.
As the sun shone down on the green fields, the air was filled with laughter and excitement. Children scurried across the grass at St John’s Prepatory in Astoria, their eyes wide with anticipation, searching for the brightly colored Easter eggs. Each find was met with shouts of joy, as the little hunters added the treasures to their burgeoning baskets.
But the fun didn't stop at egg hunting. The event was packed with activities that kept spirits high and smiles wide. Families engaged in a variety of games, and the bubbles were flying to be chased and popped adding a whimsical flair to the day’s festivities.
A highlight for many was the chance to take pictures with the Easter Bunny—a magical moment for the kids and a perfect photo opportunity for parents. The bunny, with a friendly wave and a warm hug, brought an extra layer of excitement to the event, making the day truly memorable for all who attended.
“The Springtime Egg Hunt is more than just a day of fun; it is a reflection of our tight-knit community spirit that we foster throughout the year.,” said Bailly Antoniou, Executive Director of Eleftheria Pancyprian Soccer Club. “Events like these are crucial in building lasting bonds among the club’s members, providing families an opportunity to connect outside of the regular soccer matches and practices.”
This event, emblematic of both joy and community, is just one of many that illustrate the vibrant spirit of EPSC. Thank you to our amazing volunteers Voula Daviotis, Parry Ermogenous, Stavroula Giannoukakis and more!
