The Triumphant History of the NY Pancyprian Freedoms Continues
Statement from the office of the President of the Pancyprian Association of America, Philip Christopher:
After seventeen victories, one tie and two losses, the New York Pancyprian Freedoms were crowned Eastern Premier Soccer League (EPS) Champions for the Metropolitan Conference, covering teams in New York and New Jersey.
This new crown, coupled with the New York State Cup, makes the New York Pancyprian Freedoms the most dominant team in the metropolitan area.
The New York Pancyprian Freedoms, founded in September 1974, a few months after the brutal and illegal invasion of Cyprus by Turkey, dedicate the championship to the struggle of the Cypriot people fighting for freedom and justice.
The Pancyprian Association of America, with its six divisions, reminds everyone that the first invasion in Europe took place on July 20, 1974 in Cyprus. The world is upset with the invasion of Ukraine by Russia, but 36% of the Republic of Cyprus, member of the European Union, is still occupied by Turkish troops subsidized by American taxpayers.
Freedom for Cyprus!
