Eleftheria Pancyprian Soccer Club Joins USL Youth, Launches EPSC 2008 Select Team

In a significant development for youth soccer, the Eleftheria Pancyprian Soccer Club (EPSC) has announced its affiliation with the newly launched USL Youth, marking a pivotal moment for the club's young athletes. This summer, EPSC will field the EPSC 2008 Select team, embracing a fresh opportunity to compete at a high level and showcase their talents on a national stage.

USL Youth emerges from the transformation of the Super Y League, aiming to invigorate the youth soccer landscape by connecting the dots between youth players and the comprehensive USL ecosystem. This initiative promises to enhance the soccer journey for young athletes by providing a seamless pathway from youth to professional play, encapsulating the essence of development, competition, and community.

Billy Antoniou, Director of Coaching at EPSC, shared his enthusiasm about the partnership, stating, "Joining USL Youth represents a monumental step for our club and our dedicated players. It not only aligns us with a visionary league but also reinforces our commitment to developing top-tier talent. I am thrilled to coach the EPSC 2008 Select team alongside Paul, aiming for excellence and growth in this dynamic environment."

Paul Kontonis, Director of Club Development, echoed these sentiments, adding, "This affiliation with USL Youth is a testament to our club's ambition and dedication to soccer excellence. We're excited to offer our players a platform where they can compete at a national level, furthering their development and passion for the game. Our participation in USL Youth is a bright new chapter in our club's story, and we can't wait to get started."

The USL Youth platform is designed to foster a vibrant youth soccer community, connected through events, content, and experiences that inspire, educate, and engage. With a national competition at its core, USL Youth aims to complement the existing youth soccer infrastructure, providing clubs like EPSC with the opportunity to face new opponents and vie for a national championship.

As EPSC prepares to compete in the USL Youth , select team player evaluations and tryouts will begin in April and will include players born in 2008 and 2009 that demonstrate a high level of soccer excellence, commitment and character to represent the club. The EPSC 2008 Select team, under the guidance of Antoniou and Kontonis, is set to embark on a journey that will shape their skills and define their soccer futures.
