As the Fall season is coming to an end, Eleftheria Pancyprian Soccer Club looks will start our Winter season complete with indoor tournaments and outdoor leagues. And of course our annual EPSC Holiday Party on December 18th.

A frigid November 20th Sunday was a Greek derby day with the NY Pancyprian Freedoms playing the NY Greek Americans in the Metropolitan division of the Eastern Premier Soccer League (EPSL) and in the Over 30 division of the Long Island Soccer Football League (LISFL). The NY Greek Americans could only score one goal over two games as the NYPF made quick work of their rivals in both games continuing their hallmark unbeaten runs.

For the winter, EPSC has put together an exciting Micro program at Upper 90 in Astoria, Queens starting Friday, December 2nd. This development program is geared toward the beginner/intermediate player and will be played on an indoor turf field.

Eleftheria Pancyprian Soccer Club is announcing the return of its annual holiday party on Sunday, December 18th at St Demetrios in Astoria starting at 2pm.

First place Lansdowne Yonkers FC were no match for the NY Pancyprian Freedoms in the Round of 8 of the ENNYSA Manning Cup open to all Premier Division teams. The NYPF won 3-2 with first half goals from Sameer Fathazada, James Tristino and Joseph Holland on Sunday, November 14th at Belson Stadium.

As part of a major initiative to improve the quality of the game for our players, the Eastern New York Youth Soccer Association is adopting a Zero Tolerance Policy towards any behavior or language that is detrimental to the spirit of the game. We at Eleftheria Pancyprian Soccer Club are aligned with this policy and support the procedures and responsibilities. This is a major first step in improving the quality of the referees for our games since we need to be able to attract and retain the best referees.

With the NY Pancyprian Freedoms off this weekend due to a scheduling conflict of their game against the NY Greek Americans in the Eastern Premier Soccer League, the NYPF II and the NYPF O-30s kept their win streaks going on Sunday, November 6th.

The Manhattan Celtic were no match for a resurgent NY Pancyprian Freedoms coming off a 8-0 semi-final win in the Werner Fricker Open Cup last week. With two first half goals, the NYPF won the game 2-1 on Sunday, October 30th at Belson Stadium.

With three goals from Charlie Ledula, the NY Pancyprian Freedoms blew past Suffolk County FC by a whopping 8-0 on Thursday, October 27th in Breezy Park to advance to the final of the 2022/2023 Werner Fricker Open Cup.

On a misty Sunday night on Roosevelt Island, player injuries and missed opportunities were what it took for the NY Pancyprian Freedoms’ 17-game winning streak to end with a 3-0 loss to Zum Schneider FC in the Metropolitan Division of the Eastern Premier Soccer League.
